The Med Mentor is a mentorship platform led by Dr. Tracye J. Lawyer, an orthopedic surgeon with a Ph.D., specializing in sports medicine. It supports aspiring physicians- high school seniors, pre-med students, and residents- through live courses, video training, one-on-one mentoring, and a growing library of guidance tools. Its mission is to be the mentor every pre-med student wishes they had.

The Brief

The Med Mentor needed an engaging platform that communicates its mentorship model-combining courses, customized training, and personal coaching- while encouraging sign-ups, course purchases, and fostering trust through direct messaging from Dr. Lawyer.

Our Approach

We carefully structured the site to prioritize gentle guidance and informed choice. Key components include:

  • Organized navigation clearly for Courses, Training Videos, 1-on-1 Mentoring, Library, and Collaborations.
  • Introduced standout offerings like Aspiring Physician Academy, Medical Boot Camp for Teens, and Ortho Surgery Course.
  • Elevated authenticity by highlighting Dr. Lawyer’s credentials-MD, PhD, sports medicine fellowship, and her journey from pre-med to surgeon.
  • Integrated engaging testimonials: “Very concise and informative” and “Helped me a lot… useful as I begin orthopaedic residency.”
