Juvenile Legal

Case Overview

Juvenile Justice Online (JJO) offers a restorative justice alternative for youth facing disciplinary or legal consequences related to issues like sexting, cyberbullying, vaping, and truancy. Rather than resorting to suspension or arrest, JJO provides a structured diversion program that emphasizes education and behavioral reform to help young people avoid long-term consequences.

The Brief

The goal was to build an accessible platform that serves multiple stakeholders- students, guardians, school staff, law enforcement-to offer a structured alternative to arrest. The site needed to explain how the diversion process works while training professionals on implementation and supporting user engagement across devices.

Our Approach

We carefully structured the site to prioritize gentle guidance and informed choice. Key components include:

  • Organized navigation for each user group: Students, Law Enforcement, SROs, Administrators, Parents, Teachers.
  • Clearly articulated the mission: raise awareness, deliver expert-led training, and divert youth through education instead of punitive measures.
  • Designed step-by-step walkthroughs for the diversion process, including registration, contract signing, task completion, and submission by set deadlines.
  • Integrated user-friendly features like free registration, multilingual support (English/Español), and a simple contact form.

The Results

The redesigned site now clearly reflects FCHC’s holistic, faith-inspired care philosophy. Visitors can easily locate services, access patient tools like My FCHC, and learn about sliding-fee pricing-all while feeling the center’s values and community reach. The website now fully supports FCHC’s goal: to make compassionate healthcare accessible, informative, and actionable.
